Little Outside

A window on the desktop

Little Outside is a PC desktop window that uses your webcam to make views of outdoor places respond to your head position. Drag it anywhere on your desktop and resize it freely. Lean left to see more of the view on the left; stand up to shift the view toward the sky. The effect uses real-time off-axis projection, and it works with an ordinary webcam rather than a VR headset.

Three official views

The included settings are Modern City, with towers and streets stretching to the horizon; Old European Town, with cobblestones, spires and a bell tower; and Forest Coast, where woods meet the sea. Each view has eight ambient tracks, for 24 tracks total. They shuffle without playing the same track twice in a row.
