Head-to-head cloud duels

Lantern Duel is a head-to-head shooter on PC, with two pilots flying side by side above a cloud sea in separate fields. Shoot drifting clouds to trigger chain reactions: each chain sends Sparks into your rival’s sky, and longer chains send more. Your rival can dodge the attack or shoot it back at a larger size. The exchange can keep bouncing between fields until someone is knocked out of the Lantern Cup.

Each pilot also has a Charge Shot for clearing clouds, such as rockets, lightning, a stone fist or a breaching whale. Build a gauge to fire a Special Strike, including Paper Cranes, a Skip Shot or a Meteor Shower. At Level 3, or after catching three of your rival’s returns in one combo, you send a giant Champion into their field. Fever Orbs double Sparks, clearing a whole formation earns a Perfect, and the Storm arrives if a duel runs long. Wait too long and the Reaper appears.
