King of Highways

Debt and the race

King of Highways is a PC arcade racing game set across Malaysia. You owe money to Along, and your way out is to win THE BOLT, a race from Kuala Lumpur to the foot of Kinabalu. Your only car at the start is a yellow Panda Kingz. Seven other drivers owe Along too, and you face them in duels on their roads, taking each rival’s car and marker if you win.

The rivals include a courier trying to buy back his father’s workshop, a tycoon out on bail, a Sabah rally driver racing on one good knee, and a Sarawak timber hauler who wants Along’s mask. Their stories connect the races to what each driver hopes to gain or recover.
