Kiloton

A Darkly Humorous Take on Strategy

Kiloton, a real-time strategy game, challenges players to navigate the absurdities of nationalism and military escalation through a lens of satire. Set against a backdrop reminiscent of Cold War media, it places you at a computer terminal where decisions can lead to world-ending consequences. With the aim of achieving “victory”, players must grapple with the moral implications of their choices, guided by a possibly fascist AI.

Navigating Abstract Conflict

What sets Kiloton apart from traditional RTS games is its unique approach to gameplay mechanics. The game allows players significant leeway in defining victory conditions, but the AI's whims often veer towards chaos rather than diplomacy. As you manage resources and strategize military power, you must confront the reality that true balance may be an illusion. The game emphasizes a bleak outlook on warfare, where annihilation seems to loom over any potential peaceful resolution.
