Yomi-no-Machi

Jingi Tensei is a turn-based RPG set in Yomi-no-Machi, a city where the dead still pay their debts. Ren Kanzaki, a Tokyo prosecutor killed by a delivery truck, wakes there as Jin Onigawara, the seventh son of an oyabun who never received a tattoo. You climb the yakuza ranks from chinpira to sōchō, gather your family and investigate who put out the city’s lanterns, using your former life as a prosecutor to question suspects and weigh evidence.

Turn-based battles

Fights use timing-based commands: Ma chains hits when you nail the ring, Renda finishes with a mash, and Mikiri parries on the flash to strike back. Before some fights, you face enemies in stare-down duels. In battle, dogeza can be used as a command, and intimidation can make enemies surrender; you then decide what happens to them.
