Expedition battles

Jin Gambit is a single-player roguelite auto battler for PC. You start with a small force, choose a hero and unit roster, then build an army for an expedition against a boss. Before each fight, you arrange your units on a grid and can merge matching units to strengthen them. Once combat starts, your forces fight automatically, so the preparation happens in your choices of units, upgrades, and positions.

Formation and army building

Placement determines who holds the front line, who attacks from behind, and where support units stand. You can study the enemy formation and adjust your own before combat, then use the results to rethink your setup for the next battle. The army is built around the chosen hero's abilities, with recruits that can support one another's strengths.
