ICEWAKE

A mobile base on the ice

ICEWAKE is a PC survival game set in a frozen world, where you steer a nuclear icebreaker across an ocean sealed by ice. The ship is your warm home and base: its cross-section shows the bridge, reactor, engine, workshop, lab and crew quarters. You walk between compartments, plot a route on the globe and steer through four grades of ice thickness.

Upgrading the engine lets the ship break through thicker ice and reach new parts of the world. Enemy helicopters can attack during the crossing, sending sirens blaring and the captain up on deck to man the anti-aircraft gun. Something large also lives in the deep, and staying still for too long is dangerous.
