IAFT Fear Diagnosis

Fear diagnosis

IAFT Fear Diagnosis is a PC horror game set inside an institute that studies human fear. You play its newest test subject and answer questions about what frightens you, from heights and darkness to ghosts, bugs, dolls, work and paperwork. Your answers determine the test site the Institute builds for you.

Stages based on your answers

Each run takes about 10 minutes. The game combines fears from your diagnosis into stages, with more than two million possible arrangements. You might find an office floating in the sky, a corridor that keeps getting narrower, a party hall filled with balloons, a forest built on a soundstage or an elevator that won’t stop. The questions change a little between diagnoses, so answering again can produce a different set of fears and places.
