First-person shooter

Hyper Glee Semik is a PC first-person shooter about Glee fighting sentient sweets created by the mad scientist Small Doc. You blast through candy enemies in a laboratory and destroy storage vats before their growing hordes overwhelm you. The game frames its resource management around diabetes: alongside aiming and keeping moving, you have to watch a gauge that can kill you at either extreme.

Gauge and combat

Enemies drop orbs when you shoot them. Collecting those orbs helps keep the gauge in a safe zone, so combat is also a balancing act: let it reach the maximum and you die instantly, while hitting the minimum brings debilitating side effects. You need to keep shooting and collecting as you push through the laboratory, rather than treating the gauge as a resource you can ignore between fights.
