ABOUT THIS GAME

A roadside business

Homelessness isn't an option is a business-management game for PC set in an alternate-history America during the 1970s Cold War. You play Woohike Gulihan, a Native American Vietnam War veteran who returns home to find himself homeless. An unknown family member sends him a letter about a small cabin and several stands in a village in the southern region, near the Mexican border. You use the stands to sell goods and earn enough to survive.

Set up the stand

Each selling round starts with preparation. You put crates on the table stand, then flip the sign to let customers know you’re ready. Once a customer arrives, you can try to bargain over the price. The game uses dialogue choices: pick attributes of an item to make a case for its value, and try to convince the customer to pay more.
