Hauberk

A turn-based roguelike

Hauberk is a PC remake of an open-source traditional roguelike. You descend through 100 generated floors, fighting monsters and collecting gear, with the Nameless Unmaker waiting on the last floor. Turns are taken one step at a time, so you can think before moving. Permadeath is optional.

Floors and monsters

Terrain, rooms and furnishings are generated anew on each floor. The 50 terrain types include water, tall grass, spiderwebs, bridges, braziers, chests and barrels, each affecting how you probe ahead. The game has 152 monsters with five mix-and-match behavior traits: they can be cowardly, fearless, immobile or protective, among other combinations. Some flee when hurt; others hold their ground or take hits meant for their kin.
