Gotching

A creature-led dungeon crawler

Gotching is a PC dungeon crawler where you guide a creature through an endless series of generated floors. The creature has seventeen instincts that influence its choices, such as whether to risk an ambush for a golden chest. Its senses change from run to run, and it remembers what it survives.

You can make decisions by hand, which teaches the creature through your play. Or you can let it act on its own, using what it already knows. It won’t learn while left to run unattended. The game’s log records the creature’s reasoning, including when an instinct overrides its colder judgment and why.
