Ghosts Before Dawn

A night watch in a haunted village

Ghosts Before Dawn is a pixel-art survivor-like for PC, inspired by Chinese folklore. The village is empty, lanterns still burning, while a corpse herder’s bell rings beyond the gates. You keep watch through the night, moving through waves of enemies as your weapons attack automatically. Gather experience and choose upgrades to shape your build, then survive ten minutes and defeat the final bosses to reach daybreak.

Weapons and elements

You can build an arsenal from 13 weapons, including homing talismans, orbiting swords, summoned paper corpses and spirit-banishing gongs. There are 17 evolved weapon forms and 14 passive items. Runs start with five weapon slots and five passive slots; permanent upgrades can add a sixth slot for each. Four weapons have alternate evolutions, and four weapon synergies can be discovered.
