Running a magazine

Games Mag Tycoon is a business simulation about running a games magazine from a small editorial office. You assign editors, work with test devices and put together each issue while keeping an eye on the deadline and the money needed for printing. The setting spans the games-magazine era from 1986 to 2010, from 8-bit home computers to HD consoles.

Planning each issue

You choose which games get coverage and fill the magazine with reviews, previews, hardware, tips and news. Editors have different strengths, favorite subjects and moods, so you decide who reviews each game. You also set review scores, with publishers’ reactions part of the process.
