Chessboard autobattler

Gambit Grid is a PC roguelite autobattler played on a 6×6 chessboard. You draft an army, place its pieces and give the order; then the battle resolves without further input. Each piece attacks using its chess movement pattern: knights leap, bishops strike diagonally, rooks pierce lanes and queens attack in all eight directions.

There’s no health bar between battles. Lose once, even to a boss, and the run ends, so purchases, placements and augments all matter to the plan you take into a fight.
