Foldbound

Paper-world platformer

Foldbound is a PC platformer set in a world folded from one great sheet of paper. A small paper knight wakes beside a lantern in Fold Meadow and sets out to mend the folds as cuts spread through the world and blade-jawed creatures move in.

The four areas are Fold Meadow, with its hedges and windmill; the dim Underleaf beneath the roots; the ember-lit Loft; and the Bindery, where the shears are kept. The paper setting carries through the scenery, which is cut and layered like a diorama, with visible grain, torn edges and soft shadows.
