False Crown

A hunt for sovereigns

False Crown is a PC action game about returning from death to overthrow immortal monarchs. You cross their decaying kingdoms, fight through their forces, and challenge each sovereign for their crown. Death doesn't end the attempt: you can return with new abilities and artifacts to change how you approach later fights.

Reading enemy attacks

Enemy attacks are telegraphed, but surviving means more than reacting to each one in isolation. You need to track how attacks combine, watch for changes in their patterns, and move around the battlefield until an opening appears. The fights ask you to judge when to avoid danger and when you can attack.
