Instead of relying on traditional spellcasting methods, players become the Carver, crafting and modifying their abilities through an innovative Engraving System. In this game, your tactical decisions weigh heavily as you determine how different engravings will alter your skills in real time, leading to dynamic combat experiences.

Master the Engraving System

At the heart of Etched is the Engraving System, which allows players to etch engravings acquired from fallen foes into their skill slots. These engravings modify how spells function, enabling players to create a plethora of combat strategies. For example, a lightning spell can be transformed to pierce through multiple enemies or create chains of electricity among them. Choosing which engravings to carve can drastically change your play style. Once carved, the decisions are permanent; no engraving can be undone.
