Materials and crafting

Eras Showdown is a PC auto-battler where you build a squad from units and equipment made out of materials from the Stone Age, Middle Ages, Modern era and Future. The shop sells materials rather than finished weapons. Each round, you buy materials and units, then use the workbench to combine materials into items.

Two materials make an item, and a third adds fire, lightning or poison. The weaker of the first two materials drags down the result, so combining advanced technology with a Stone Age find can waste a strong component. The game leaves you to judge whether a possible item is worth the cost.
