A shared galaxy

Empires of the Axis and Abyss is a 4X strategy game for PC, set in a galaxy where two to eight commanders compete and plan across the same map. You design fleets, manage resources and territory, research new disciplines, and pursue victory through domination, score or research.

Turns resolve asynchronously on a server, so commanders can take their turns at different times. You arm battle plans in advance; the host system carries them out and returns strategic results and combat replays before the next round begins. You can also play solo against AI commanders, but the game requires an internet connection and a free Axis and Abyss account, and has no offline mode.
