Echoes on Paper

Family photo puzzle

Echoes on Paper is a PC family-history puzzle game set in Shanghai in 2032. Fourteen-year-old Lin Haoyang is spending the summer alone when a box arrives from his family home with an empty album, a document bag, and old black-and-white photographs. You sort the photographs, identify the people in them, and piece together the story of a Chinese family across several generations.

Sorting the photographs

More than 160 photographs need to be placed in the right spots in the album. You can click people in the photographs to extract their portraits, then use clues from the documents and images to work out who they are. The names you collect go into a family tree, where you match them to portraits and fill in relationships between generations.
