Game premise and objectives

Dragon Soul: Awakening is a PC game that blends elements of social simulation and psychological combat. Players take on the role of Sahkuru, who navigates a mundane life that takes a turn when a dragon begins speaking to them. The game follows the player as they gain entry to the “Dragon Realm” and discover the legend of the Nine Dragon Souls. The player’s objective is to help these dragon souls confront their inner struggles, which is critical as an impending apocalypse looms.

Combat and dialogue

The game does not emphasize traditional combat. Instead, it features dialogue-based boss battles where players engage in fast-paced psychological confrontations. You must read your opponent's emotional state, respond appropriately, and seek to break down their defenses before their mental endurance runs out. This approach shifts the focus from physical violence to understanding and persuading characters.
