Doomy Downer is a top-down action roguelike for PC about a block-shaped hero dragged from his armchair and sent down through a series of floors. You fight through places of rot, bone, drowned halls and fire, choosing how to handle each fight and which route to take at each stair.

The stairs offer two gates. Flower arches lead to sunny meadows, woods and shores filled with streams of cute enemies to cut down and collect souls from. Thorn arches lead to lava halls, desert canyons and misted crags, where fewer foes appear but elites fight as named champions with telegraphed powers. The ground, light and weather shift as you walk between places. Each completed run leaves a statuette beside the armchair.
