Genre and premise

DOGEZA is a first-person horror exploration adventure set in a castle during Japan's Edo period. Players take on the role of a feudal lord who finds themselves trapped in their castle with no help from retainers or servants. Over the course of one night, you confront the spirits of those you have wronged, seeking to atone for your past actions.

Gameplay

In the game, you explore various parts of the castle, including its keep, turrets, and grounds, while searching for a way to escape through sealed doors. You will also gather remnants left behind by the deceased, which will provide context for the apologies you must make. Your primary objective is to perform "dogeza," the Japanese ritual of bowing in apology, to the spirits you encounter.
