Death Lies East is a PC action RPG about fighting monsters in an old-school JRPG setting. You clear visible enemies from the maps using quick, real-time hack-and-slash combat. Encounters aren’t turn-based or randomized.

Loot and progression

The game focuses on grinding for weapons, lootables, levels, and unlocks. You upgrade loot as you progress, with mechanics and progression inspired by Diablo 2. The story and dialogue are minimal, and the game doesn’t tell you how to progress.
