Castle-building duel

Crownmason is a turn-based PC strategy game about two players building castles and trying to kill each other’s king. You raise walls, towers, quarries, mills, barracks, a scriptorium and a hall on a square grid. Buildings affect nearby buildings, so placing a stonemason beside a quarry increases stone production, while a poor arrangement can cost you.

Each round has three moves: build, deploy and watch the battle. You place soldiers in the field and archers on battlements, then choose battle cards. The attacker lines up before the enemy walls; the defending army responds, and the fight plays out automatically. Destroying buildings or burning farms doesn’t end a match. The enemy king has to die.
