Mercenary company management

Crestbound is a turn-based tactical RPG for PC about managing a mercenary company through a long, punishing quest. You decide what the company can afford each week, from scouting recruits and negotiating contracts to paying wages, treating injuries, reforging weapons, researching Crests, and training units. Then you choose a mission, deploy a squad, and deal with the cost of the fight as well as its outcome.

Each fighter has an annual contract, weekly salary, traits, gear, morale, and long-term value. Scouts can reveal a recruit’s combat profile, potential, hidden value, and contract expectations, but not everything is known at first. Contracts expire, and fighters may leave if you can’t re-sign them. You’ll weigh the cost of a promising recruit against the risk of paying too much for someone who doesn’t deliver.
