Coquí Crusader: Defenders of Borikén is a clicker-style game set on the island of Borikén, which faces threats from creatures rooted in Puerto Rican folklore, including the Chupacabra and La Garita del Diablo. Players control a coquí, a small frog symbolizing Puerto Rican culture, as they battle enemies by clicking to attack. The game incorporates real-time energy mechanics, where energy regenerates even while the game is closed, allowing players to return later with a full energy meter.

Combat mechanics

Combat in the game revolves around clicking to defeat enemies. Each click is a strike that inflicts damage, with players able to build up power with successive hits. Strategic use of special attacks, called cultural abilities, can amplify damage or restore energy. There are six different abilities such as Coquí Call, which multiplies damage, and Café Boost, which refills energy instantly.
