Concussive Maintenance introduces a fresh take on puzzle-platforming with its unique mechanics centered around portals. Players have the ability to teleport, but there’s a twist: you only get one portal and it’s activated through momentum. This means that to transport through your portal, you must build up speed and slam into solid surfaces. Each slam infuses the game with a frenetic energy that keeps you engaged.

The core of gameplay lies in the emphasis on maintaining your momentum. Players will notice that the velocity you have before hitting the portal is preserved as you fly out of it. This allows for dynamic movement through levels, where players need to think critically about how to chain together jumps and sprints. Mid-air portal placement adds an extra layer of strategy, enabling players to maximize their speed and navigate challenging tracks.
