COMPASSion: A Mender’s Tale

Mending in Lanternfall

COMPASSion: A Mender’s Tale is a PC anime visual novel about Kai, a mender who runs a small repair parlour beneath Lanternfall’s unbroken night. Light is sold by the lantern, and Kai’s customers, the Kindled, are people whose spirits inhabit crafted bodies. They bring damaged seals and personal troubles to the counter as Lantern Night approaches and stories begin to uncover the city’s past and Kai’s own.

Compass matching puzzles

Repairs use a compass-shaped board with rings and spokes. You swap elemental seals, fuse matching ones into stronger forms, and place them where a damaged body part needs them. Jobs draw on a supply of lamp oil, so you have to plan your moves. Cascading fusions can help, and resonance gauges let you transform seals on the board.
