Clickbait Tycoon

Game description

Clickbait Tycoon is an idle/incremental simulation game where players build a clickbait media company set in a pixel-art version of 1980s New York. You start with one website and a desk, publishing articles to generate views and ad revenue. The earnings can be reinvested into hiring staff, upgrading technology, and unlocking new mechanics through a Research Lab system.

Core gameplay loop

The game combines active clicking with automation. Players can hire staff across twelve tiers to create a newsroom, catch trending topics, and fix typos for combo streaks. You publish articles that can lead to "golden articles," and you also respond to breaking news events by choosing whether to verify stories, publish immediately, or sell tips.
