ChessRogue

Strategic Depth with a Chess Twist

ChessRogue redefines the traditional roguelike genre by melding it with the strategic intricacies of chess. In this game, players hire a party of chess pieces, exploring procedurally generated dungeons filled with increasing complexity. Your primary objective is to either capture the enemy king or find the exit staircase. This engaging blend infuses chess strategy with rogue-like exploration, creating an experience that's both challenging and unique.

Compelling Game Modes for Diverse Challenges

Players can choose from two distinct modes: White and Black, each offering a different level of difficulty and gameplay mechanics. In White Mode, the stakes are high as all pieces face perma-death, making each move crucial. Conversely, Black Mode allows for piece persistence, allowing players to strategize based on a stabilized roster. This duality provides varied tactical challenges that enhance replayability and encourage players to master both styles.
