Caesar: The Gallic Campaign

Caesar’s campaigns

Caesar: The Gallic Campaign is a real-time action RPG for PC set during Caesar’s campaigns in Gaul and the Roman civil war. You play Marcus, a soldier of the Tenth Legion, following the campaign from the Helvetii’s migration in 58 BC through battles at Alesia, then on to Pharsalus and Thapsus after Caesar crosses the Rubicon. The story is told from the level of a ranker in the army rather than from a commander’s view of the map.

The campaign spans eight chapters and an epilogue. Its route passes through Gaul, Britain, the Germanic frontier, Italy, Greece, Hispania and North Africa, with events including the ambush of the Eburones and the double siege lines at Alesia.
