Burnknowe Golf Club

Building a golf course

Burnknowe Golf Club is a PC golf-course construction and management game set in Scotland. You start with a patch of wilderness and build a club from the ground up, choosing a links or parkland style and placing it in the Highlands or Lowlands, among glens or beside the ocean. There’s no fixed course layout: you sculpt the terrain, paint areas such as greens, bunkers and rough, and route each hole through the landscape.

The course changes with the seasons, and you’re responsible for keeping it in shape as the club grows. You hire and manage staff, maintain the grounds, upgrade the clubhouse and keep members happy. Each season, you also choose a captain whose leadership brings different pros and cons.
