Hold the Heart

BULWARK: Hold the Heart is a PC real-time strategy game about defending a colony from the Blight. You mine Lumen and Vapor, build production, train an army and research upgrades to hold enemy waves away from the Heart, a crystal monolith that keeps the colony alive. If the Heart falls, you lose the level. Short breaks between waves give you time to repair, expand and prepare for the next attack.

Build and command

Riggers mine crystal fields, claim Vapor vents, build structures and repair damage. Expanding toward richer ground near the nests brings better resources, but also means defending more territory. The game has 12 unit types and 18 buildings, with 16 research lines. Production buildings need a Tech Module to train advanced units or a Twin Bay to train two units at once.
