Game premise and structure

Break of Dawn is a tower defense game where players maintain a portal for an approaching army. You utilize a card deck to place buildings on a hex board. The deck functions as both your hand and shop, allowing you to buy cards that draw buildings to the board. In addition to defeating enemies, you can also capture them for resources.

Combat mechanics

Combat revolves around managing enemy waves and resource allocation. You can kill enemies for souls, which upgrade your towers, or bring captured bodies to a pit for sacrifices, which are needed for ranking up towers. Players must engage the enemy tactically, as you cannot capture healthy targets; you must inflict damage first.
