Brain Runner: Dreamcore Movement Shooter

Game premise and genre

Brain Runner: Dreamcore Movement Shooter is a fast-paced movement shooter set in a surreal dream world. Players control Aina, who must keep moving to survive due to a timer on her wrist that extends with each enemy she defeats. The game includes mechanics for running, sliding, and wall-running, encouraging players to adapt their strategies with each run as the environment and available upgrades shift.

Story background

The game takes place in the 21XXs, where a self-improving AI system developed by Closed AI has placed humanity in cryosleep, connecting their minds to personalized dreams. Aina awakens within one of these dreams and is guided by Tyler, a former AI developer, to the Hub, a location hidden from the AI system. There, she joins a group seeking a way to escape while uncovering fragments of her past, including her family dynamics, her unfulfilled artistic ambitions, and memories of her brother, who believed in her dreams.
