A bell beneath Hollin Cross

Below the Bell is a first-person, real-time dungeon crawler on a square grid for PC. In Hollin Cross, an old Order buried the town’s dead in galleries beneath a quarry. Now the bell rings on its own, and people who hear their names in it go below. You play as someone taught to ring by the last ringer above, descending after them.

Between trips into the crypt, you walk the town at night and speak with people at the chapel, smithy, Nell’s lamp-shop and the Wheatsheaf. The quarry gate leads down; the crypt stair and bell tower open as you go deeper. A Homeward Taper lit below brings you back to town and lets you return to the same spot once.
