Beast, Bumps and Kings is a medieval city builder for PC, built around keeping a village going across generations. You begin on new land with three couples, a campfire, a natural well and a handful of gold. Villagers have names, families, homes and ages, and the settlement depends on replacing those who die.

Families and generations

Children are born in family huts, grow up and become workers. Couples marry at the church, and children can attend school; graduates work faster for the rest of their lives. Elders retire, receive a daily pension and inspire nearby villagers to walk and work faster. A forecast warns when retirements are due, giving you time to prepare the next generation.
