Banned Together

What Is Banned Together?

Banned Together invites players into an enigmatic environment where books are mysteriously vanishing. Set in a college library, the game centers around Ruby, a journalism major who undertakes a surreal investigation. As Ruby navigates through the echoing halls of the MacLeod library, players confront themes of loss, queerness, and the implications of history being actively erased. Unfolding as a narrative-driven puzzle game on PC, this engaging experience interweaves personal stories with broader political messages.

Delving into Ruby's Journey

Players step into Ruby's shoes, utilizing their interactive journal to unlock the protagonist's scattered thoughts and experiences. The more you explore, the more you learn about Ruby's identity and the rich, often overlooked, queer history of the MacLeod library. This journal serves not only as a narrative device but also as a gameplay mechanic, providing valuable insights that shape Ruby's journey amid the chaos of missing literature.
