Command in 1999 Poland

Article of Faith is a blind real-time strategy game for PC, set in Poland in autumn 1999, seven months after the country joined NATO. You command a Polish unit on an exercise near the eastern border, with NATO observers there to certify it. The campaign advances day by day. Each day ends with your report, and both your actions and what you write affect what follows.

The setting draws on the Polish Army of the time: its radios, paperwork and staff procedures come from Soviet sources, while its first field manual written to NATO standards is still seven years away. The autumn’s events are fictional; the country and its military context are real.
