Archivist

An archive detective game

Archivist is a first-person horror detective game for PC, set entirely in an underground archive. Each morning, Abel waits at the counter and describes someone. You search the shelves for that person’s file, inspect it, and decide whether to hand it over. Most targets are killers, but some aren’t entirely human. You never learn what happens to the people you turn in; you do learn what happens when you choose the wrong file.

Read the files closely

Files can be incomplete, stained, or misleading. You can use a UV flashlight to reveal invisible ink and wiped-away bloodstains, and a magnifier to examine photos for details such as tattoos, scars, or someone in the background. There are no menus or screens for this work: you pick up files, open them, turn their pages, stamp them, and stack them.
