Discovering New Theland in Anodyne 2: Return to Dust

Anodyne 2: Return to Dust invites players to explore a whimsical and surreal world plagued by a malevolent force. As Nova, a Nano Cleaner, you are tasked with rescuing the islanders of New Theland from the disturbing effects of Nano Dust, a substance that twists their emotions and desires. Set against a backdrop of vibrant 3D landscapes and nostalgic 2D dungeons, this game offers a mix of adventure reminiscent of classic Zelda-like experiences.

Engaging Mechanics in a Dual World

Players will jump, drive, and walk through visually striking environments in 3D while utilizing Nova's unique abilities in 2D settings. Shrinking inside the bodies of the afflicted gives a fresh twist to traditional dungeon crawling. With the Nano Vacuum, you’ll fight enemies and solve imaginative puzzles tied to each character's emotional struggles. These mechanics uphold a sense of progression while delving deeper into the mindscapes of the islanders, enhancing the narrative depth.
