Alderfolk

A village and a family

Alderfolk is a PC settlement builder about founding a village and passing it down through a family. You begin with a handful of settlers in a quiet valley, then grow the town around the family you start. The founder’s children have their own paths, including apprenticeships, and the game follows who takes over when the founder steps down.

Food and buildings

You grow grain, mill it into flour and bake bread, while fishing in the river and hunting in the woods. The village also needs places for its residents to live and learn: you can build daycare, kindergarten and school, as well as manors for families who want more space. An inn gives visitors a place to stay.
