Across the Dark

Game premise and objective

Across the Dark is a roguelike deckbuilder set in a dark fantasy world. Players take on the role of one of four classes (Bloodslayer, IronGuard, GrandMage, or SwiftHealer) each with unique mechanics and combat tactics. The goal is to navigate through five challenging stages, ultimately facing a final battle against the Demon Lord in the sixth stage. Each run is unforgiving; a single death resets all progress.

Combat and strategy

Combat revolves around managing an 8-card slot system where players must carefully arrange cards and equipment. Success in battles relies on strategic planning rather than fast reflexes. You need to manage health and construct an effective deck to overcome various enemies and their attack patterns. Creating synergies between cards and items can lead to powerful combinations that enhance combat effectiveness.
