A healer in the valley

A Healer's Almanac is a PC pixel-art life sim set in a Chinese-inspired mountain valley. You take up the work of a village healer, growing herbs, gathering ingredients, making remedies and caring for villagers. The year follows four seasons and the twenty-four solar terms, which shape the weather, crops, village routines and seasonal events.

Diagnosing illness

When a villager is sick, you investigate their symptoms rather than read a health bar. The Four Examinations include observing signs such as complexion, tongue and posture, listening and asking questions, and reading the patient’s pulse through a rhythm-based challenge. You combine those clues to identify patterns of imbalance, which can have several layers.
