8plus9

Temple folklore action RPG

8plus9 is a PC isometric action RPG set among the talismans, incense and spirit beasts of Taiwanese temple folklore. You start in a temple courtyard, then fight through haunted chambers, an abandoned manor and spectral caverns, gathering loot and developing a character.

Combat and character builds

Combat combines chain blade attacks, a spinning strike and dashes with exorcism spells, protective wards and healing. Enemies include melee spirits, ranged casters and charging bosses. Crimson Tonic restores health and Clear-Mind Potion restores mana, so keeping supplies ready matters during a fight.
