The RhB Ge 6/6 II locomotive has a storied history, having been introduced in the late 1950s to replace older, less powerful models that couldn’t meet the demanding transport requirements, especially during the construction of the Bergell power station. Capable of hauling 250 tonnes, this electric locomotive features a Bo’Bo’Bo wheel configuration, allowing for reliable freight operations even on challenging gradients.
