Explore the Rumoi Line Journey in JR EAST Train Simulator

JR EAST Train Simulator: Rumoi Line (Fukagawa to Rumoi) is a captivating train simulation game for PC that invites players to step into the cab of the Kiha 54-500 series. This title uniquely captures a stretch of the former Rumoi Line in Hokkaido, now reduced to a mere 14.4 km segment. As you traverse this historically rich railway, the game combines the essence of train operation with nostalgia for a route that no longer exists in its entirety.

Historical Significance of the Rumoi Line

Spanning from Fukagawa to Ishikari-Numata, the Rumoi Line was a vital transportation artery in Hokkaido. Once reaching Mashike Station, it offered scenic views of the Ishikari Plain and vital connections to Sapporo and Asahikawa. Although most of the line has been discontinued, this simulator preserves its charm, allowing players to relive a slice of Japan's rail history while driving through picturesque landscapes that characterized the original route.
